Directions

Ocean Village, Southampton

By Car:

The best way is to approach Southampton via the M271 from the M27. Follow the dual carriageway for about 3 miles and then fork left following the brown signs for West Quay and the Waterfront.

Go past West Quay and the Grand Harbour hotel on your left, straight across the roundabout, past Red Funnel ferries on your right and through the traffic lights. Follow the one way system around to the right and then fork left, signposted ‘Ocean Village’ before you would come back on yourself towards Dock Gate 4.

There are two entrances to Ocean Village, the main entrance is on the right at the first set of lights, or the secondary entrance is straight through the lights into Channel Way.  There are public Pay & Display car parks at each entrance.   The yacht will be on a visitors berth so it could be at either entrance to the Marina. It is best to contact us on 07720 418955 to find out where she is berthed.

By Rail:

Catch the train to Southampton Central. There are frequent fast services from London Waterloo as well as Reading, Oxford, and the North.  At the station, take a Taxi to Ocean Village which is a few minutes away. See above for additional details.

Berthon Marina, Lymington

By Car:

The simplest way to drive to Lymington is to take Junction 1 from the M27 signposted Lyndhurst.  Continue to Lyndhurst and follow the one way system turning right into Gosport Lane and exiting left onto the A337 to Brockenhurst.  Follow this road through Brockenhurst over the train lines and onto Lymington.  On approaching Lymington go straight over the first mini roundabout, go under the bridge to the next roundabout, turn left into Marsh Lane (B3054).  Continue straight, over two more mini roundabouts.  The road bends sharply up to the right into the High Street; at this point you will need to carry straight on into Captains Row, past the Kingshead Inn.  Follow this road which bends sharply to the left then to the right and you will see signs for Berthon Lymington Marina on your left.  Drive up to the double barrier and this will automatically open.  The car park is free.  Bare Necessities is located at the end of B pier.

By Rail

Catch the train to Brockenhurst.  There are frequent fast services from London Waterloo.  From Brockenhurst change trains for Lymington Town.  From here it is a short walk to the marina, however if transport from the station is required please call us on 07720 418 955 in advance.  For those braving the walk; from the station turn left down Mill Lane and follow the water front round to The Ship Inn.  From here carry on past the Quay and you will join Bath Road.  Berthon Lymington marina is located approximately 200 yards down Bath Road on the left.  Bare Necessities is located at the end of Pier B.
